Computer help?

Hey guys, I need some help. I think I broke part of the internet. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Seriously though, lately 2 particular sites have stopped working for me. I used to able to access them, but can't anymore. And I know other people can.

The sites are www.futureshop.ca and www.bestbuy.ca.

Anybody have any idea why 2 specific sites would just stop working for me?

Yep, i can think of a few reasons.

The first is that there's a security problem, but usually that's only httpS sites. Secondly, they could be down, or their host is down. The most probable reason is one that happens on a regular basis and fixes itself within a day: literally part of the internet is broken. Usually each "net" section (I'm on Comcast, for instance), routes into other sections in only one or two physical locations. If the major hub is down, you can't see that part ofd the internet. Last week, I couldn't get to Microsoft or Ebay from my Comcast, but when on the AOL network they both came in fine. When running the Spawn e-mail network, we regularly had times when Pheonix couldn't reach New Jersey, but us in Detroit could reach them both. Then I ran a tracert, found out they were blocked in Washington DC, and called AT&T to restore their setting.
So relax, some geek is staying up late fixing it, and they'll be "up" tomorrow.

Ah, so it's like the few days that most of Canada couldn't get on the spawn boards.

Figures I can't access them the one day I actually want to.
